Transgender Articles, Resources, and Essays
Welcome to the Transgender Area at d332.com While I am a non-op trans*-identified girl, I feel it is important to work together as a transgender community to promote understanding, acceptance, and equal treatment within and for the group. I have written essays about the nature of transvestism within the transgender umbrella, and I have also spoken at gatherings and coming-out weeks at universities. I don't make any distinction between one group of trans* folk from the other. No group has more of an access or a right to own the transgender label because they have access to a procedure or a treatment. Not only does this form of validation separate, it also delays unity from happening. Labeling may help one to form a more coherent self-image, but it should, by no means, be used to exclude. Let's learn from all the former fringe groups who have successfully gained a place in society and look out for each other. Best of luck and keep your hopes high!

Most of us call a girl with a perky personality, cookie-cutter good looks, and perfect blond hair makeup a “Barbie doll.” There should be an equivalent name for that in the transgender world. If you read Miss Vera books, read all the How-To-Be-A-Girl advice websites and listen to other t-girls, then you’d end up being [...]

For years, I’ve had ongoing jokes about Atlanta’s Air Tran airlines. I’ve even flown them. But now, the passenger airways finally has their very own high priestess of the open skies. I’m very very impressed that the folks over at Dallas Fort Worth Texas are so civilized, open-minded, and accepting. You’d think you’d see this [...]

I have actually reduced my usual quota of visiting tranny night at a gay bar down from once a year to once every two years. Needless to say, my bf yells at me for showing up in my standard tranny girl’s night out-and-about outfit: I know a lot of crossdressers and trannies claim that wearing [...]

When I was a child in school, everyone was so fascinated at the one and only Indian classmate the day he arrived. Twenty years later, our entire town has been overtaken by the Indian community. At best, residents who have been here for generations tolerate the massive changes that have taken place. I have great [...]

I actually only present my self in a handful of outfits. There is the casual jeans and tight top or cami’s. The cutesy girlfriend outfits. The somber old lady Quaker / Mormon outfits. And of course, my original favorite, the 2 piece business skirt suit. It seems as if there is a big following for [...]

There’s a host of great books out there on how to dress in a way that flatters your figure. An average t* girl is inevitably taller and larger than an average girl. No matter how you cut it, there’s only a small percentage of us who are lucky enough to be blessed with small frame [...]
